Bonbon is a short horror story, about your childhood. Even if you weren't a small child in the 80s, you've been here before. Just you and your friendly toys. But this new friend... this is something you are not yet able to understand.
The text above plucked directly from developer Aetheric Games website is a perfect description of our Let’s Review… the subject this week.
Now before I go much further I just want to state that I don’t like horror games. However, my editor said that I should do this review because, and I quote, ‘It will be good to spread your wings, Chris’.
Well, good call Mr. Editor. Good call indeed.
Made on the Unreal Engine 4, the Edinburgh based indie developer has created an interesting and intriguing ‘horror’ game that has some amazing recreations of classic 80’s toys and homes.
With simple easy to use controls (both keyboard/mouse and 360 styles gamepad are supported) and a runtime of around 40 mins, this is an excellent purchase at under 2 £/$/Euros.
Because of the short nature of the game, I can’t really get into the meat of what happens after the first ‘level’ but, as anyone who watches the review vid will understand, I now have a growing fear of 7 foot tall, red eyed, rats.
Excellent work Aetheric Games.
